The Influence of Qur'an Hadith Learning Experience In Junior High School / MTS on The Learning Readiness of Qur'an Hadith for Class X Students at Man 2 Karawang

Abstract

This research examined the role of students’ previous learning experiences in preparing them for Al-Qur’an Hadith lessons at the Madrasah Aliyah level. A quantitative approach was adopted, employing an ex post facto research design. The study population comprised 255 students, from whom 156 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula and Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The sample included 50 students from MTs and 106 students from SMP. The descriptive analysis revealed that students’ previous learning experiences in Al-Qur’an Hadith fell within the moderate category, with a mean score of 62.0962 and a standard deviation of 8.20525. Students’ readiness to learn Al-Qur’an Hadith also fell within the moderate category, recording a mean score of 62.0449 and a standard deviation of 7.97200. The simple linear regression analysis yielded a significance value of 0.000, which was below the 0.05 threshold, and produced the regression equation Y = 15.380 + 0.752X. These findings demonstrate a positive and statistically significant effect of previous Al-Qur’an Hadith learning experiences on students’ readiness to study the subject in Grade X at MAN 2 Karawang. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.598, indicating that previous learning experiences accounted for 59.8% of the variation in students’ learning readiness, while the remaining 40.2% was attributable to other factors not examined in this study.
