The Implementation of Worship Habituation Methods in Shaping Islamic Character in Children at TK TPA Al-Qur’an Al-Ikhlas in Palembang City
Abstract
This study aims to examine the implementation of worship habituation methods in shaping Islamic character among early childhood students at TK TPA Al-Qur’an Al-Ikhlas, Palembang City. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that worship habituation activities, including congregational prayer, Qur’an recitation, daily prayers, and the practice of good manners, contribute to the development of children’s discipline, responsibility, religiosity, and politeness. Supporting factors include teachers’ role modeling, a conducive religious environment, and parental involvement. However, the implementation of these activities faces challenges, particularly the lack of consistency in habituation practices at home and limited learning time. Therefore, consistent implementation of worship habituation and collaboration between teachers and parents are essential to strengthening Islamic character development in early childhood.
