Abstract

Self-concept is an important aspect that underlies every human thought and behavior. A positive self-concept will be able to have a positive impact on oneself and the surrounding environment. This study focuses on the main aspect, namely self-concept, especially in the educational realm, global trends and bibliometric analysis on related themes. This study uses the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis or PRISMA method sourced from the Dimensions AI database due to its complexity. The initial data obtained amounted to 12,463,548 works with the keyword 'Self Concept' which narrowed down to a total of 13,730 core data that became the research source. VOS Viewer visualization was also reviewed in this study to enrich the research findings. The results show that the research trend on 'Self Concept' has continued to increase consistently exponentially in the last ten years. Gwo-Jan Hwang and the Journal of Education Sciences are the authors and journal houses that are active in publishing works on related themes. This research is expected to be a reference for knowledge, insight, and even in policy-making efforts, especially in matters related to self-concept
