Abstract


This study aims to analyze the implementation of blended learning and its impact on learners’ motivation at PKBM Pahlawan. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques consisting of interviews and observations. The research subjects included one Package C learner and one tutor who also served as the manager. The findings revealed that blended learning had been implemented by combining online and face-to-face learning; however, in practice, it was more dominantly conducted online through WhatsApp media. The impact of this model on learners’ motivation was found to be fluctuating. On one hand, blended learning provided flexibility and easier access to learning materials, thereby maintaining learner engagement. On the other hand, the dominance of online learning caused boredom, limited interaction, and instability in understanding the learning materials. Furthermore, the results showed that although learners’ motivation tended to rise and fall, no significant decline was found in learning outcomes. This indicates that blended learning is capable of maintaining academic achievement, although it has not fully guaranteed the stability of learning engagement.
