Abstract
Religious Education, as stated in Government Regulation No. 55 of 2007, Chapter I Article 1 Paragraph 1, is education that provides knowledge and shapes the attitudes, personality, and skills of learners in practicing the teachings of their religion. It is implemented at a minimum through subjects or courses at all pathways, levels, and types of education. Islamic Religious Education has become one of the important issues in every discussion concerning the life of the Muslim community. Islamic Religious Education is an educational program that instills the values of Islamic teachings through the learning process, packaged as a subject known as Islamic Religious Education (PAI), both in public schools and in schools under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Religious education aims to form learners who understand and practice the values of their religious teachings and/or become experts in religious knowledge who are broad-minded, critical, creative, innovative, and dynamic, in order to educate the life of a nation that is faithful, pious, and possesses noble character.
