Abstract


The Influence of Classroom Management on Student Interest in Learning at UPTD MAN 3 MEDAN. This study aims to determine the description of classroom management at UPTD MAN 3 MEDAN, the description of student interest in learning at UPTD MAN 3 MEDAN, and to determine whether classroom management influences student interest in learning at MAN 3 MEDAN. This study used a quantitative approach. The population was all students at MAN 3 MEDAN. The sample size was 75 students, using simple random sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data on classroom management variables (X) were obtained using a Likert scale questionnaire, and data on learning interest variables (Y) using a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis and inferential analysis.The results of this study indicate (1) the description of class management is in the high category with a percentage value of 74%. (2) The description of learning interest is in the high category with a percentage value of 75%. (3) Based on the results of the questionnaire data analysis, the t-test was 4.064>t-test 2242 at a significance level of 0.05, so it is said that Ho is rejected, and H0 is accepted. So there is a significant positive influence between class management and learning interest. The contribution contributed by the class management variable (X) to the learning interest variable (Y) = 18.5%, meaning that the other 81.5% is influenced by other variables not observed in this study. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of class management on the learning interest of students at MAN 3 MEDAN.
