Abstract
This study aims to implement the audiolingual method in Arabic language learning to improve istima’ (listening) skills. The research applied a quantitative approach with a population of 20 students using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires filled in by students and analyzed statistically to test the hypothesis. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ listening skills after the audiolingual method was applied. These results are consistent with previous studies reporting that audiolingual activities direct students’ concentration on the learning material, thereby improving listening competence. Based on statistical analysis, the alternative hypothesis was accepted: the audiolingual method is effective in enhancing istima’ skills. Positive student responses, such as actively repeating dialogues and understanding new vocabulary, supported the quantitative outcomes.
