Abstract


The study goals to describe the implementation of character education in shaping the social attitudes of students at SDN Kalirejo 02, East Ungaran District, Semarang Regency. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method utilizing data gathered from observation, interviews, documents. This study subjects consisted of the principal, grade III and IV teachers, and their students. The findings reveal that character education was implemented through positive habituation, integration of character values in learning activities, and consistent role-modeling by teachers and other school members. The social attitudes formed include honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance. Honesty was reflected in students admitting mistakes and avoiding cheating during exams; discipline was evident in their adherence to school rules; responsibility was shown through task completion and classroom duties; and tolerance appeared in respectful interactions with peers from diverse backgrounds. These findings indicate that consistent and integrated character education within the elementary school environment effectively fosters positive social attitudes among students in their daily lives.
