Pengaruh Pengembangan Diri dan Kualitas Work-Life Balance terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir Prodi Manajemen
Abstract
This study examines the influence of self-development and work-life balance quality on the work readiness of final-year Management students at Universitas Sari Mulia, Banjarmasin. A quantitative explanatory research design was conducted involving final-year Management students using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings reveal that self-development has a positive but insignificant effect on students’ work readiness. Meanwhile, work-life balance quality has a positive and significant effect on work readiness. Furthermore, self-development and work-life balance quality simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ work readiness. These findings indicate that although self-development alone does not significantly determine work readiness, maintaining a good balance between academic responsibilities and personal life contributes significantly to students’ preparedness for entering the workforce. Simultaneously, self-development and work-life balance quality represent important factors associated with students’ work readiness. This study contributes empirical evidence regarding the role of individual development and work-life balance in supporting the work readiness of final-year university students, particularly in the context of Management education in Indonesia.
