Abstract
This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of Pancasila Education among third-grade students at SD Negeri 43 Sungai Sapih, Padang City. This study aims to determine the effect of using cartoon animation video media on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education among third-grade students at SD Negeri 43 Sungai Sapih, Padang City. This research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental research type and a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of 78 third-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in Class III B consisting of 27 students. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 16 items that had met validity and reliability requirements. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Paired Sample t-test with SPSS version 27. The results showed that the average pretest score of 62.63 increased to 77.59 in the posttest, an increase of 13.96 points. The normality test produced a significance value of 0.276 > 0.05, indicating normally distributed data. The Paired Sample t-test produced a t-value of 8.041 with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05; therefore, H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Thus, the use of cartoon animation video media had a significant effect on the Pancasila Education learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 43 Sungai Sapih, Padang City.
