Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teaching skills of PAI students in micro teaching learning and the development of their teaching skills in real teaching through the use of assessment instruments. This study also aimed to identify the obstacles experienced by students in integrating basic teaching skills into real classroom practice. The research was conducted through three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, a micro teaching learning design and teaching skills assessment instruments were prepared. In the implementation stage, the researcher observed and assessed the students’ teaching skills based on the prepared instruments. Furthermore, in the evaluation stage, the collected data were analyzed to determine the development of students’ teaching skills. The results showed that the teaching skills of PAI students in micro teaching were categorized as very good, as well as their teaching performance in real teaching. Therefore, the use of assessment instruments in micro teaching contributed to the evaluation and development of PAI students’ teaching skills.
