Abstract

The objectives of this classroom action research refer to two main problems, namely: To examine the use of the Shuffle & Recall Game Technique in Arabic language learning at MA Al-Muthohar Plered. To improve students’ Arabic writing skills, which are hindered by the lack of attractive and interactive teaching methods that can enhance students’ motivation in learning Arabic in the Social Science class. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative analysis with an action research approach. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study are as follows: First, the Arabic language skills of students at MA Al-Muthohar Plered are considered good because the teacher is already quite proficient in Arabic. Second, the use of the Shuffle & Recall Media Technique, as shown by the increase in the average score from 68.4 in the pre-cycle to 78.6 in cycle I and 86.3 in cycle II. In addition, students’ responses to learning using this technique were very positive because it made the learning process more enjoyable, active, and challenging. Thus, the Shuffle & Recall technique can serve as an effective alternative teaching method to improve students’ Arabic writing skills.
