Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of using congklak game media on the interest in learning mathematics of class II students of MIN 1 Makassar City. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design type, involving two groups, namely class II A as the experimental class and class II B as the control class. The research instrument was a questionnaire sheet, which had passed validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test to ensure the data were normal and homogeneous. The results of the study showed that the use of congklak game media had a significant effect in increasing students' interest in learning mathematics. Thus, congklak game media can be an effective innovative media to increase interest in learning mathematics, especially in building concrete conceptual understanding.
